Grayson Interpreting, LLC was established in 2018 and has been providing ASL interpreting services across the state of South Carolina and beyond. We strive to be recognized as an agency synonymous with high standards and most importantly, community trust. Continued learning is a core value of our organization and this is done through intentional practice and professional development. We adhere to the RID Code of Professional Conduct, and the NCIHC national code of ethics for healthcare interpreters. Interpreters are also provided HIPAA and mandatory reporter training annually. Maintaining confidentiality and preserving the trust of clients is of utmost importance. Above all, our commitment is to center and support Deaf community access.

Owner, Mary Beth Grayson, has been in the field of interpreting for more than 12 years with a bachelor's degree in ASL and English Interpreting. She holds National Interpreter Certification (NIC) through the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) and through the Board of Evaluation for Interpreters (BEI) certification of Advanced. Additionally, she has obtained a CoreCHI-P™ certificate for ASL through the Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters (CCHI) and is a Qualified Mental Health Interpreter (QMHI).

Growing Interpreters

As there is a growing need for professionally trained sign language interpreters, it is our mission to continue supporting the development of novice interpreters. We commit to providing support through training opportunities, mentorship, and donation of funds for 1 CASLI or BEI testing scholarship recipient yearly, with hopes to expand funding.

Mentorship is at the center of all interpreter growth. Grayson Interpreting is committed to providing mentorship and resources through test preparation sessions, case conferencing, or general consultation. Please reach out for further details.
